Lake Ozark Speedway will be hosting the 3rd Annual Matthew Merrill Memorial Race June 5, 2010.  Matthew Merrill lost his life in a tragic four-wheeler accident July 31, 2007.  He was a happy 13-year old teenager whose smile was contagious.  He loved to spend time with his friends, talk on the phone, and play video games.  In addition, he had a great passion for racing which he inherited from his father, uncle, and grandfather.  He loved to go fast.

A silent auction, raffle, 50/50 drawing, and bake sale will be held in conjunction with the memorial race and we are asking for your support.  This event is being held to raise money for M&M Track Rescue.  M&M Track Rescue provides emergency services at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri and Double XX Speedway in California, Missouri.  All donations will be used for either a silent auction or raffle item.  Money from last year’s event was used to pay one-third of the cost of a Kawasaki Mule ATV.  The mule is used for transportation for the track rescue crew.  We need to finish paying for this mule so we can look at buying new suits and more equipment.  This cannot be accomplished without generous donations from great organizations like yours.

Please give generously to this worthy cause as we strive to keep Matthew’s memory and love for racing alive as well as provide a safer environment for racers of all ages.
